Out of a variety of films, the Alfonso Cuaron directed sci-fi movie was nominated for best trailer category. As reported by Variety, it bought home the award for best thriller trailer.
While on a mission outside space, the trailer depicts how lead stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney float on space. It was before Bullock loses hold of the life line.
The awards night took place last May 30. Other winners of the same category in the previous years are ‘Star Trek, ‘The Social Network’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
The other winners this year are Godzilla for the category of Summer Blockbuster, Best independent goes to ‘Dallas Buyers Club, Best Fantasy goes to Maleficent, Hunger Games for best Action trailer and Frozen for Best Animation and Family film trailer.
