AP reports that Rick Ross was arrested in North Carolina on Friday night after performing as part of SuperJam at the Greensboro Coliseum. The rapper was arrested for a failure to appear in court regarding a previous charge in the state.
The spokeswoman for the Greensboro Police Department, Susan Danielsen, confirmed that a court had issued an order for his arrest due to his failure to appear in court for a misdemeanor marijuana charge.
Ross cooperated with the police and Danielsen said that he was released on $1,000 bond.
The rapper and his label have declined to comment.
