Olivia Palermo has shared the inspiration behind her wedding look.
Olivia Palermo wanted "light and fresh" make-up at her wedding.
The 28-year-old style icon has been dating German model Johannes Huebl since 2008 and they married during a quiet ceremony earlier this month.
Wearing head to toe Carolina Herrera, the socialite made her vows to Johannes.
She's shared pictures of the big day on her blog, showing her in a crisp white sweater and a gorgeous flowing white skirt with floral detail.
Olivia kept her beauty look very natural, with dewy skin, defined brows and a low-key wispy ponytail.
"I wanted the make-up to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. My hair was in an uncontrived ponytail, one of my favourite personal looks," she explained on her website.
The gorgeous pair picked a park in Bedford, New York, for their special day and invited just a handful of family and friends. Olivia revealed why they wanted to do things so quietly.
"We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends. Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside," she wrote.
Johannes also looked the part and complemented his beautiful wife in a bespoke white suit by Marc Anthony Hamburg. He also wore a crisp white shirt by the designer, finished off with a navy Charvet tie and navy Etro pocket square.
Olivia also followed the tradition for something blue on her wedding day by wearing a sapphire pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.
