'Lion King' cast sings 'Circle of Life' on New York subway - New York Daily News

"The Lion King" cast brought smiles to the faces of some disgruntled commuters — as the "Disneyfication" of post-Giuliani New York continues.

The Broadway performers blended in with other straphangers on the A train leaving the 59th Street, Columbus Circle station until one singer started to belt out the opening lines to "Circle of Life.

Then the rest of the cast joined in to deliver a world class rendition of the tune from the massively successful animated film and critically acclaimed Broadway musical at The Minskoff Theater in Times Square.

Some New Yorkers were won over by the professional theater troupe while others blocked out the song with their earbuds.

The video, which was filmed on June 28, was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday.
